Boeing has released a video showing U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornets operating on board the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77). Besides showing flight deck operations, the video also shows Navy personnel singing the praises of the Super Hornet. “Since I started flying in the F/A-18, I don’t even think twice about it, the systems, the backup systems – everything – I have ultimate trust in the platform itself to get me where I need to be,” said Lt. Elizabeth Hall, Super Hornet weapons system officer. Super Hornet operations may seem a little conventional for the Bush, which made history earlier this year by being the first aircraft carrier to ever launch an autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle, but they are no less important in helping the U.S. project power.
