Editor in Chief Chuck Oldham checks out the Heckler and Koch MR556A1 during Media Day at the Range at the 2011 SHOT Show. The MR556A1 is essentially the civilian semi-automatic version of the HK416 used by some special operations forces. A variant of the HK416 is used by the Marine Corps, designated M27.
