New Mexico State University (NMSU) and its applied engineering arm, the Physical Science Laboratory (PSL), have operated the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Technical Analysis and Applications Center (UAS TAAC) since 1999. The TAAC’s primary goal is the safe integration of UAS into global airspace.
The TAAC was formed to establish a planned program creating a UAS RDT&E facility and to build a UAS Center of Excellence, with a certification focus.
