For more than a century after the medical departments of the Continental Army (1775) and Navy (1798) were established, American military medical professionals shared a problem with their counterparts around the world.

Interview With Vice Adm. David A. Dunaway, USN (Ret.)

Vice Adm. David A. Dunaway was born in El Paso, Texas. After receiving his wings in April 1984, he served as a graduate flight instructor then went on to complete flight training in the F/A-18 Hornet. From 1986 to 1989, he flew with the “Vigilantes” of Strike Fighter Squadron 151 aboard the carrier USS Midway (CV 41) homeported in Yokosuka, Japan, and was then selected for Class 96 at the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School in Patuxent River, Maryland.

Russia Develops Arctic-Variant Mi-8AMTSh-VA Helicopter

Russian Helicopters, part of the Russian state corporation Rostec, is featuring an example of its new Arctic-variant Mi-8AMTSh-VA helicopter at a private showing during the International Military and Technical Forum ARMY-2016, according to a company news release. Like the U.S. Chinook, the venerable Mi-8’s original design goes back five decades, but it has likewise been continually improved over the years.
